This 2026 Mattel Creations release recreates one of the movie’s most memorable moments, with the F-14 Tomcat flying inverted above the enemy MiG-28.

The centrepiece is the legendary F-14 Tomcat, a supersonic twin-engine, two-seat fighter famous for its distinctive variable-sweep wings. Developed for the U.S. Navy, the F-14 became one of the most recognisable naval fighters ever built. In Top Gun, the enemy “MiG-28” was actually fictional, with modified Northrop F-5 aircraft used to portray it on screen. The Hot Wheels set recreates the encounter between the two aircraft, with movable wings on the F-14 reflecting the real Tomcat’s iconic swing-wing design.

Both aircraft feature detailed movie-inspired decoration and weathering and are mounted together on a dedicated display stand featuring a die-cast Top Gun logo plate. The premium soft-touch presentation box takes inspiration from Maverick’s flight helmet and includes additional references to the famous inverted-flight scene.

A standout display piece for Hot Wheels collectors, aviation enthusiasts and Top Gun fans, and a special release from the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con collection.

Details
Brand: Hot Wheels
Collection: Mattel Creations
Release: SDCC 2026
Theme: Top Gun 40th Anniversary
Includes: F-14 Tomcat & MiG-28
Features: Movable F-14 Wings & Display Stand
Product Code: JRB43
Year: 2026

Condition
Brand new and factory sealed.
Packaging may show minor shelf or storage wear due to handling and transit.

Shipping
Items are shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.
Each item is individually inspected before dispatch.
Extra care is taken to ensure safe delivery.
Shipped with Royal Mail.

Combined Postage
Combined postage is available automatically at checkout.
