ZAMAC Hot Wheels releases are especially popular with collectors because the body is left largely unpainted, allowing the natural diecast metal finish to become part of the design. ZAMAC takes its name from the zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper alloy traditionally used for diecast construction, giving this version a noticeably different appearance from a standard painted release.

The real BMW 3.0 CSL became one of BMW’s most important competition cars of the 1970s. Developed as a lightweight homologation model for touring-car racing, the CSL achieved major success in European competition and helped establish BMW Motorsport’s racing reputation. Its dramatic aerodynamic additions earned later versions the famous “Batmobile” nickname, while the blue and red Motorsport colours became closely associated with BMW’s racing history.
