The real Mercedes-Benz 500 E is one of the most celebrated performance saloons of the 1990s. Developed in collaboration with Porsche, each car was transported between Mercedes-Benz and Porsche facilities during production. Its 5.0-litre V8 produced around 326 hp, giving the otherwise discreet four-door saloon serious performance while retaining the comfort and refinement expected from a Mercedes. Its subtle appearance and unusual Porsche connection have made the 500 E a highly respected modern classic.
