A legendary homologation special from Mercedes-Benz’s motorsport era, recreated as part of the Hot Wheels Premium Modern Classics collection.

This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II represents one of the most aggressive and collectible versions of the W201-generation 190 E. Developed to meet touring-car homologation requirements, the Evolution II featured dramatically widened wheel arches, revised suspension and its unmistakable oversized rear wing and aerodynamic bodywork.

The real Evolution II was powered by a high-revving 2.5-litre 16-valve engine developed with Cosworth involvement and became closely associated with Mercedes-Benz’s success in German touring-car racing. Only 502 road-going Evolution II cars were produced, helping make it one of the most desirable performance Mercedes models of its era.

This Hot Wheels release is finished in metallic silver with detailed exterior trim, large rear spoiler and period-inspired wheels, capturing the purposeful look of the original homologation car.
