Matchbox - 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback - Matchbox The Movie - 7/12 - 2026

A true American muscle-car icon takes its place in the Matchbox The Movie collection with this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, finished in a deep metallic green with classic black wheels and chrome-style detailing.

The real 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback belongs to the first generation of the legendary Mustang and represents one of the most recognisable shapes of the American muscle-car era. The Fastback body featured a sweeping roofline flowing into the rear deck, giving the Mustang a much more aggressive and performance-focused appearance than the standard coupe. Ford offered the 1968 Mustang with a wide range of engines, including powerful V8 options, while high-performance versions helped cement the Mustang's reputation on both road and track. The 1968 Fastback also became one of the most celebrated Mustang body styles in popular culture and remains highly sought after by collectors today.

This Matchbox release recreates the classic Fastback in metallic dark green with detailed Mustang badging, chrome-style bumpers and trim, black wheels with silver outer rims and a period-correct muscular stance. Presented on dedicated Matchbox The Movie card artwork, it makes an excellent addition for Mustang, classic American car and Matchbox collectors.
